New mau5 in the sky
Every season has its banger, and in this age of dubstep it’s almost disturbingly refreshing when minimalist house producer deadmau5 and Rob Swire of Pendulum join forces and spawn this four-to-the-floor electro monster that takes me back to a Phantom pt. II state of mind. Well, sort of anyway. Without further ado: deadmau5 feat. Rob Swire – Ghosts ‘N’ Stuff:
It doesn’t make sense nor does it have to
Animated short by Ivan Maximov – From Left to Right (1989)
Logic, common sense and reason are the pillars onto which my perception of reality rests. No wonder I’m a bit startled when I find myself spending every spare moment longing for something I shouldn’t want.
Whatever the outcome; as long as I keep moving from left to right things will probably work out in the end.

Three men, three dogs, one weekend. Basecamp Skeikampen, and the world ahead of us.

Frikk and Tilla mastering the art of being Border Terriers

Leah and Frikk adding to the already fantastic view from Prestkampen

Leah and Tilla enjoying the last remains of winter
We, that is three guys, two Border Terriers and a Golden Retriever, set off from the cabin and walked to the top of Skeikampen. From there we started walking in the direction of Prestkampen which can be seen straight north and easily recognised by a large rock beacon. The south-eastern summit is quite accessible, and no climbing is necessery. After escaping a small rain shower and having lunch on a covered ledge near the top we continued down towards Svartvatnet and headed further north until we found Peer Gynt-stien which took us west to the Peer Gynt road. A couple of hours on the dirt road, and we were back where we started. All in all a nice 8 hour hike, although the final stage wasn’t quite as spectacular as the rest. Maybe we’ll bring a map and have a few ideas where we’re going next time. I’m already eager to check out the path heading east from the north ridge of Storfjellet…
Grand ideas

I haven’t travelled in a while. And although my summer schedule still remains a mystery, my mind is fixed on Isle of Skye. One week? Two weeks? Comfortable shoes, camera, whatever comes along. It doesn’t make sense at all / It’s the best idea I’ve ever had.
There are no plans. Just an idea. I figure I’ll go to Glasgow, jump on a bus and find a bed&breakfast of sorts on the island. Maybe pack a tent and go hiking for a few days. It’s not exactly NYC, and there probably aren’t many wifi networks around, but I have a feeling I’ll get by anyway. To be continued.
